Texture and saturation of colour are what I’m constantly trying to achieve and explore. Whether I'm sewing sun-dried tomatoes together to make a shape or layering watercolour, pencil, pen, ink, metallics, fabric and anything else at hand on top of thickly textured paper, the need is the same – depth, layering, like a visual history of lives lived. For me, art is the process of using a visual medium to display the contents of the heart and the need to constantly explore, or to capture a moment, a feeling and an aesthetic and translate it in your own visual language.
